The 200m butterfly final was a nail-biting race, with Italian swimmer Federico Burdisso narrowly edging out Russian competitor Egor Pavlov. Burdisso claimed gold with a time of 1:58.65, finishing less than a quarter of a second ahead of Pavlov in an intense and exhausting race.
The boys’ handball final featured an exciting match between Germany and Slovenia. The German team emerged victorious with a score of 29-26, clinching the gold medal in a thrilling and closely contested game.

ABOUT GYŐR 2017
The 2017 EYOF held in Győr, Hungary, gathered over 3600 athletes representing 50 European nations competing across 10 sports, including cycling, judo, athletics, and swimming. This edition stood out for its exceptional organisational efforts to involve the local community actively. The festival engaged local volunteers, schools, and residents, creating a sense of unity and excitement throughout Győr. The collaboration between the event and the community added an extra layer of enthusiasm and support for the young athletes.
